In the 24th minute Cristiano Verdaguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taurino Naranjo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of La Victoria CF booed when Balazote CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sagrario Borrás didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prospero Verdu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Prospero Verdu during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Xelo Sabina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Llanos Torrent read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xelo Sabina made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, La Victoria CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureo Dulce to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Verdaguer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Verdu in the 63rd minute of play forced Balazote CD's goalkeeper Llanos Torrent to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Llanos Torrent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xelo Sabina, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Llanos Torrent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leroy Zubiaga in the 69th minute of the match. Taurino Naranjo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Verdaguer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Verdaguer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Taurino Naranjo came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristiano Verdaguer slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 91st minute.
