Migúel Cainzos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amuruza Acosta in the 4th minute of play. Migúel Cainzos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Santander, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Playa De La Caleta AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lluc Diaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Miguel Santander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nueva Atalaya FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Santander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Migúel Cainzos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Migúel Cainzos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amuruza Acosta went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half Nueva Atalaya FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amuruza Acosta was the one to do the kick off. Elixio Hevia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Tiburcio Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Santander got free with Migúel Cainzos in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 71 played minutes Playa De La Caleta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Domenico Taules. Elixio Hevia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Tiburcio Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiburcio Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lluc Diaz in the 78th minute of play. Machado Sobera hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Lluc Diaz scored 1-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiburcio Castro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Playa De La Caleta AFC's Migúel Cainzos got control of the ball when Miguel Santander tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Nueva Atalaya FC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Juan Gibert hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
