Campsa's Iñaki Alabern got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mancio Echeto took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonel Briso. With a little luck, Fuenlabrada's Martín Caminero got control of the ball when Ereinotz Bencoiechea tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Fuenlabrada getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Peio Cañadas hit a great ball. Leonel Briso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mancio Echeto in the 20th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Fuenlabrada's goal looked a bit too open when Iñaki Alabern came free, but Martín Caminero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ereinotz Bencoiechea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvaro Costa in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Briso saved Campsa from getting behind. Ereinotz Bencoiechea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martín Caminero having to interfere. Peio Cañadas's late challenge caught a Campsa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peio Cañadas helped the player get up and apologised. Ereinotz Bencoiechea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Campsa's zone, Mancio Echeto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Briso came out of the goal and Mancio Echeto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Fuenlabrada booed when Campsa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fortunato Fuente didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st match minute, Campsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Figueroa to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Fuenlabrada's Antero Feliu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, Campsa's Benedicto Figueroa got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iñaki Alabern stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mancio Echeto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Leonel Briso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alvaro Costa came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Fuenlabrada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Costa couldn't finish the play. If Iñaki Alabern had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortunato Fuente kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Campsa's Ereinotz Bencoiechea got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Mancio Echeto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martín Caminero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ereinotz Bencoiechea in the 71st minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Fuenlabrada's Leonel Briso threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mancio Echeto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 78 minutes into the game, Columbo Alarcon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
