The supporters of Albares AD booed when Gurb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gelacio Valerón didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Sarracino Palomar could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Fe Encina however easily saved by the left post. 12 minutes into the match, Gurb's goalkeeper Fe Encina had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sarracino Palomar. Fe Encina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Acha in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Albares AD's zone, Veto Macia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donatello Reyes came out of the goal and Veto Macia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute Antonio Acha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fe Encina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tito Santiago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donatello Reyes having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nono Ortega during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Albares AD got a freekick which was hit by Nono Ortega. After 31 played minutes Albares AD got a freekick which was hit by Sarracino Palomar. The audience was convinced that Tito Santiago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donatello Reyes was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Fe Encina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Acha in the 37th minute of play. Sarracino Palomar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Fe Encina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Albares AD's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Mayol came free, but Donatello Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sarracino Palomar struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Fe Encina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Albares AD. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Sarracino Palomar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albares AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Sarracino Palomar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fe Encina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Gurb's Jorge Mayol got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, Sarracino Palomar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sarracino Palomar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Acha might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fe Encina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonio Acha ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sarracino Palomar in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fe Encina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 82 minutes into the match, Gurb's goal looked a bit too open when Sarracino Palomar came free, but Fe Encina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Gurb were awarded a corner. Herminio Menendez went to the cornerflag to take it. Aimar Gomar tried in the game's 86th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Donatello Reyes. An annoying self made goal, 0-1. Donatello Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veto Macia in the 93rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Sarracino Palomar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albares AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Sarracino Palomar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fe Encina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Gurb supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gurb would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
