With an all-out effort, Vilardell FC's Roger Azofra threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Belmiro Calatayud, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 12 minutes into the game, Lazcano Huerta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Txema Salan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gabino Ladra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Txema Salan having to interfere. Lazcano Huerta hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The supporters of Vilardell FC booed when Alfoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Montay Canyelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Alfoz's zone, Juan Maldonado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Azofra came out of the goal and Juan Maldonado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lazcano Huerta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Txema Salan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Belmiro Calatayud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vilardell FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belmiro Calatayud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Vilardell FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alfoz were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belmiro Calatayud to make the kick off. Roger Azofra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Maldonado, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 54th match minute, Vilardell FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernard Unzueta to maneuver through the defense. Juan Maldonado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 62 minutes into the game, one of Alfoz:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 70thth minute of the game Juan Maldonado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alfoz's Roger Azofra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Florentino Sabina kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Alfoz's Lazcano Huerta got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Lazcano Huerta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Txema Salan, 2-3. Gabino Ladra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Vilardell FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lazcano Huerta came free, but Txema Salan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Azofra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Maldonado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Montay Canyelles fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alfoz's protests and gave Montay Canyelles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th match minute, Alfoz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Montay Canyelles to maneuver through the defense.
