Cordario Valerón kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Nacho Casas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anaia Bermudez having to interfere. Pelayo Sirvent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Bentarique's goal looked a bit too open when Francis Higuera came free, but Claude Cartagena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raúl Campomanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bentarique's Claude Cartagena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hitz Morientes in the 20th minute of play. Claude Cartagena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francis Higuera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Sabadell AFC's Hitz Morientes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claude Cartagena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anaia Bermudez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Campomanes in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Hitz Morientes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabadell AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hitz Morientes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Cordario Valerón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hitz Morientes came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Sabadell AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hitz Morientes couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raúl Campomanes made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Sabadell AFC's zone, Pelayo Sirvent stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anaia Bermudez came out of the goal and Pelayo Sirvent tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 64 played minutes Sabadell AFC got a freekick which was hit by Toro Menendez. Pio Benito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anaia Bermudez. Sabadell AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pelayo Sirvent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cordario Valerón charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cordario Valerón the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 70 played minutes Bentarique got a freekick which was hit by Cordario Valerón. Toro Menendez, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Claude Cartagena successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Sabadell AFC's Hitz Morientes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claude Cartagena. That made the score 0-1 after 75 minutes of play. Francis Higuera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claude Cartagena didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 83rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Raúl Campomanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anaia Bermudez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Campomanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. If Francis Higuera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claude Cartagena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hitz Morientes in the 96th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sabadell AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
