When Bras Torres came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Meliana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bras Torres couldn't finish the play. In the 4th minute Bras Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Ortega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matias Ortega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bras Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to El Varadero AFC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Zavier Nueva hit a great ball. Matias Ortega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bras Torres in the 11th minute of the match. Heli Cambero made a great header on Meliana's corner, it was just that El Varadero AFC's Matias Ortega managed to reach the ball for a save. Barea Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víctor Santiago having to interfere. If Jerico Gonzáles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bras Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Matias Ortega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Víctor Santiago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barea Veloso in the 29th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Meliana's goal looked a bit too open when Barea Veloso came free, but Víctor Santiago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. El Varadero AFC's Matias Ortega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bras Torres in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, El Varadero AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baraxil Pais to maneuver through the defense. Matias Ortega didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jerico Gonzáles went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The El Varadero AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Meliana were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Barea Veloso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Verdeja in the 53rd minute of play forced Meliana's goalkeeper Víctor Santiago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Barea Veloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Víctor Santiago was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Bras Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Ortega having to interfere. When Zavier Nueva fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Varadero AFC's protests and gave Zavier Nueva a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to El Varadero AFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Zavier Nueva hit a great ball. Bras Torres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Matias Ortega made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jerico Gonzáles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meliana's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerico Gonzáles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias Ortega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barea Veloso in the 69th minute of play forced Meliana's goalkeeper Víctor Santiago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 minutes, Raúl Abellan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Meliana and the El Varadero AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Meliana's Raúl Abellan got a free kick in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Verdeja in the 71st minute of play forced Meliana's goalkeeper Víctor Santiago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Cipriano Etxeberria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meliana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Varadero AFC the free kick. After 72 played minutes Meliana got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Etxeberria. After a defensive mix-up in Meliana's zone, Barea Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Víctor Santiago came out of the goal and Barea Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jerico Gonzáles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, El Varadero AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerico Gonzáles came free, but Matias Ortega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Meliana's Zuri Valines got a free kick in the 84th minute. If Bras Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerico Gonzáles was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Bras Torres came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Meliana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bras Torres couldn't finish the play. Meliana's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
