After a defensive mix-up in Miñotos's zone, Anibal Contreras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apal Velasco came out of the goal and Anibal Contreras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Polifemo Martin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferman Garate in the 11th minute of the match. Felix Silva's late challenge caught a Zorita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Silva helped the player get up and apologised. Anibal Contreras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apal Velasco having to interfere. Zorita's Polifemo Martin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferman Garate in the 27th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Zorita's zone, Salomon Cayuela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Polifemo Martin came out of the goal and Salomon Cayuela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miñotos's Apal Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lalla Nobo in the 32nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Apal Velasco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bardo Alcalde during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bardo Alcalde kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Zorita's goal looked a bit too open when Salomon Cayuela came free, but Polifemo Martin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Polifemo Martin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salomon Cayuela went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferman Garate made a kick off. Apal Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lalla Nobo in the 59th minute of play. Guter Ponte charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guter Ponte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Ferman Garate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Zorita's goal looked a bit too open when Ferman Garate came free, but Polifemo Martin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 minutes of play, Zorita's Anibal Contreras made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apal Velasco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Polifemo Martin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferman Garate, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Salomon Cayuela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 93 minutes, Lalla Nobo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zorita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lalla Nobo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Anibal Contreras had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apal Velasco. Miñotos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anibal Contreras was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Miñotos's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
