The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Ferrer Morado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Atilano Zaplana was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Atilano Zaplana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferrer Morado in the 14th minute of the match. Atilano Zaplana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manel Zafrilla went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Atilano Zaplana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manel Zafrilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Jesús Morado hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Lander Camarasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gartzea Santiago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Iosu Bartumeu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Algete's supporters rose to their feet, but Iosu Bartumeu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gartzea Santiago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gartzea Santiago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lander Camarasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Algete's goal looked a bit too open when Manel Zafrilla came free, but Atilano Zaplana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osoro Rubio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Atilano Zaplana. Algete's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Manel Zafrilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Algete's zone, Manel Zafrilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilano Zaplana came out of the goal and Manel Zafrilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Algete's Atilano Zaplana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesús Morado in the 44th minute of play. The Algete players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Picanya were winning 0-2.

52 minutes into the game, Marcelino Izquierdo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Algete's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Picanya the free kick. In the 58th minute, Picanya's Osoro Rubio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Osoro Rubio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Picanya protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Osoro Rubio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When Nazario Olano fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Algete's protests and gave Nazario Olano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th match minute, Algete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nazario Olano to maneuver through the defense. Atilano Zaplana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferrer Morado in the 68th minute of play. Iosu Bartumeu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Picanya's Gartzea Santiago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lander Camarasa in the 99th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
