After a rather tough play, Colombia's Joshua Garrido got a free kick in the 6th minute. Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Batıkan Muhsin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. In the 14th match minute, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Sasso to maneuver through the defense. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Batıkan Muhsin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Batıkan Muhsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After taking down the ball on Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's corner Seçkin Öksüzoğlu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Manzanares quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Montenegro in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Batıkan Muhsin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Colombia's Abram Sarmiento in 35 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Batıkan Muhsin guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 36th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batıkan Muhsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedicto Bihar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 46th minute of play forced Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's goalkeeper Batıkan Muhsin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Colombia booed when Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agamenón do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Colombia's Axel Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Batıkan Muhsin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benedicto Bihar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Axel Montenegro in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Batıkan Muhsin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's goalkeeper Batıkan Muhsin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The shot was a little too simple and Batıkan Muhsin could save by the left post. Abram Secada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
