Viviano Arenas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fe Pedriza having to interfere. Laurin Pujol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Elias in the 7th minute of the match. A collision led to Sant Genís De Palafolls getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Florentino Mendez hit a great ball. Crispo Marrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cresenciano Solo came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fe Pedriza could save by the left post. With his leg Fe Pedriza managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Sant Genís De Palafolls's Cebrián Abajas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fe Pedriza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viviano Arenas, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 27 minutes, Viviano Arenas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sant Genís De Palafolls and the Marentes CD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Sant Genís De Palafolls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viviano Arenas to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Crispo Marrero in the 29th minute of play forced Sant Genís De Palafolls's goalkeeper Laurin Pujol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laurin Pujol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Crispo Marrero in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sant Genís De Palafolls's zone, Crispo Marrero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurin Pujol came out of the goal and Crispo Marrero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 36 played minutes Marentes CD got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Macia. 1-0 became the score in the 39th minute when Viviano Arenas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Cebrián Abajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 minutes, Xabat Abellan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marentes CD and the Sant Genís De Palafolls players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cebrián Abajas struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Fe Pedriza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sant Genís De Palafolls. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Crispo Marrero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sant Genís De Palafolls booed when Marentes CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Macia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cebrián Abajas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Fe Pedriza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Crispo Marrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 62 minutes into the game, Cresenciano Solo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sant Genís De Palafolls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marentes CD the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sant Genís De Palafolls's Cresenciano Solo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute Viviano Arenas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fe Pedriza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute of the match Sant Genís De Palafolls got a corner. Marentes CD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Artzai Cameno ran over to the corner to take the kick. 67 minutes into the game, Leonides Macia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marentes CD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sant Genís De Palafolls the free kick. After 69 played minutes, Sant Genís De Palafolls's Artzai Cameno shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fe Pedriza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sant Genís De Palafolls reached it. Laurin Pujol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Crispo Marrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viviano Arenas in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fe Pedriza saved Marentes CD from getting behind. Sant Genís De Palafolls's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Artzai Cameno in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute, Marentes CD's Ciano Mondejar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Crispo Marrero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurin Pujol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. After 94 played minutes Sant Genís De Palafolls got a freekick which was hit by Cresenciano Solo. In the 96thth minute of the game Crispo Marrero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sant Genís De Palafolls's Laurin Pujol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Sant Genís De Palafolls supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Marentes CD's performance. The match ended with a win for Marentes CD.
