The audience was convinced that Anacleto Mora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Colon Nueva was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After taking down the ball on Altea La Vieja's corner Gaitan Quesada fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rodrigo Reyes quite easily take care of the ball. Calonge's Rodrigo Reyes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Jurado in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Altea La Vieja's Roberto Sirvent nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Reyes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Lluis Guijarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes of play Altea La Vieja's Millán Benito was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The Altea La Vieja fans cheered their team off the field, for while Calonge had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
