Xavian Echavarri started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Monells CD's zone, Xavian Echavarri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patxi Caminero came out of the goal and Xavian Echavarri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 11 minutes of play, El Neveral AFC's Xavian Echavarri made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patxi Caminero was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Paquito Lillo in the 14th minute of play forced El Neveral AFC's goalkeeper Tito Zafrilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Xavian Echavarri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patxi Caminero was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Alfronso Nafría in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Patxi Caminero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Servando Ortiz put in a rough tackle. 28 minutes into the game, one of El Neveral AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Monells CD. Nabar Saavedra stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tito Zafrilla. 2-2. Alfronso Nafría sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Neveral AFC's Tito Zafrilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paquito Lillo in the 40th minute of play. Tito Zafrilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Arribas in the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paquito Lillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Monells CD's Fidel Arribas got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ametz Carmona thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Tito Zafrilla, a very annoying self made goal in the 55th minute which led to 2-3. Patxi Caminero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Haimar Jimenez went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. In the 61stth minute of the game Paquito Lillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Neveral AFC's Tito Zafrilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fidel Arribas got free with Tito Zafrilla in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th minute of the match Monells CD got a corner. El Neveral AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nabar Saavedra ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Alfronso Nafría managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Neveral AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfronso Nafría was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patxi Caminero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Haimar Jimenez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 75 minutes, Larra Ponte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monells CD and the El Neveral AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Monells CD getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Larra Ponte hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Alfronso Nafría sped through Monells CD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Patxi Caminero. Paquito Lillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Tito Zafrilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 minutes, Haimar Jimenez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Neveral AFC and the Monells CD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Haimar Jimenez hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 95th match minute, Monells CD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Lara to maneuver through the defense. El Neveral AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
