Urtungo Villafane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iban santillana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manolo Rosas in the 11th minute of play forced Villar De Cañas CF's goalkeeper Fran Cuervas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Sancho Huarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Giraldo Espinosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manolo Rosas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Etxave Arratia fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villar De Cañas CF's protests and gave Etxave Arratia a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Villar De Cañas CF got a freekick which was hit by Etxave Arratia. In the 24th minute, Giraldo Espinosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Las Pedroñeras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ovidio Cabanela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Urtungo Villafane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Villar De Cañas CF getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Breixo Benedicto hit a great ball. Fran Cuervas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Rosas in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Villar De Cañas CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Etxave Arratia to maneuver through the defense. The Villar De Cañas CF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Las Pedroñeras were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giraldo Espinosa was the one to do the kick off. If Manolo Rosas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urtungo Villafane was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had been going on for 87 minutes, Las Pedroñeras's Tomualdo Fresnos got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Fran Cuervas. 98 minutes into the match, Villar De Cañas CF's goalkeeper Fran Cuervas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manolo Rosas.
