Mané Andres hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kelemen Ibanez in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliverio Campello saved Cazorla from getting behind. After 20 played minutes Cazorla got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Valines. Manolito Arraz, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 22 played minutes Cazorla got a freekick which was hit by Hermenegildo Silvestre. Romano Gibert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batista Briso having to interfere. Oliverio Campello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alifonso Ibanez in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kelemen Ibanez in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliverio Campello saved Cazorla from getting behind. When Alifonso Ibanez came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Sant Genís De Palafolls FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alifonso Ibanez couldn't finish the play. Kelemen Ibanez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alifonso Ibanez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Oliverio Campello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gitano Solo was the one to do the kick off. Batista Briso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romano Gibert in the 69th minute of the match. Gitano Solo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sant Genís De Palafolls FC booed when Cazorla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermenegildo Silvestre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romano Gibert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sant Genís De Palafolls FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alifonso Ibanez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliverio Campello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 97 minutes into the match, Sant Genís De Palafolls FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romano Gibert came free, but Batista Briso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cazorla fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sant Genís De Palafolls FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
