The goalkeeper, Martín Treviño, was totally fooled by Barasoain's Aliecer Viqueira, who 30 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 34th minute Aniceto Montero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salomon Font saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aniceto Montero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 played minutes Barasoain got a freekick which was hit by Hector Zapatero. Mariano Ladra was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aniceto Montero in the 48th minute of play forced Barasoain's goalkeeper Salomon Font to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

In the 75th minute Aniceto Montero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salomon Font saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Barasoain's Salomon Font got control of the ball when Pedro Vallejo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aniceto Montero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salomon Font having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95thth minute of the game Aniceto Montero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barasoain's Salomon Font was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 97th minute, Aniceto Montero fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. El Manantial AFC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Barasoain had won, even though El Manantial AFC had held more of the ball.
