Ray Manzano went to the wrong direction when Aparicio Tormes was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a rather tough play, Cortijillos's Roldán Ramos got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Nicolao Jaraba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Manzano having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Augusto Sarro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Aparicio Tormes's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Ray Manzano - 1-0 was put on the score board in the 26th minute. Cortijillos's Ray Manzano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Sarro in the 30th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Cortijillos's Beremundo Cambero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elias Figueres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 36 minutes, Dario Cameno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cortijillos and the Miranda FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Miranda FC booed when Cortijillos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Cameno didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Cortijillos's Ray Manzano got control of the ball when Nicolao Jaraba tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cortijillos's Ray Manzano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Cortijillos from getting a goal against them.

When Maximiano Benedicto fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Miranda FC's protests and gave Maximiano Benedicto a yellow card for diving instead.
