Everyone was convinced a goal was close when El Vendrell's Ofelio Bueno in the 38th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rogelio Rico was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Cortijo Nuevo AD through an amazing save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ofelio Bueno to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ursino Cambero got free with Pirro Verdeja in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pirro Verdeja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Austin Villafane, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Pirro Verdeja made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Lolo Flores sent off a good shot on target. When Orlando Navarro fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cortijo Nuevo AD's protests and gave Orlando Navarro a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 minutes of play, El Vendrell's Anter Bartumeu made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogelio Rico was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of El Vendrell booed when Cortijo Nuevo AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ursino Cambero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anter Bartumeu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rogelio Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 98th minute, Anter Bartumeu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Vendrell fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2.
