El Vendrell's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Paulo Toledo scored to the left of an out of position Pirro Verdeja, making the score, 2-0. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Natalio Infante put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pirro Verdeja. Germán Lopez de Toro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ofelio Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eder Hidalgo in the 29th minute of play forced El Vendrell's goalkeeper Pirro Verdeja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bembrive's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
