Castulo Mangas was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Xuan Cabada capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Xuan Cabada really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 27th minute Oswaldo Canosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Abancens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Martínez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodoro Abancens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dabi Aznar, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Xuan Cabada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cambela Santa Maria SAD's goalkeeper Castulo Mangas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xuan Cabada to make the kick off. Teodoro Abancens was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gabino Carceles. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marques Perez in the 65th minute of play forced Cambela Santa Maria SAD's goalkeeper Castulo Mangas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Castulo Mangas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xuan Cabada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marques Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Castulo Mangas having to interfere. Xuan Cabada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Castulo Mangas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Cambela Santa Maria SAD got a freekick which was hit by Henry Martínez.
