Tonyà's Nabar Helguera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Tonyà from getting a goal against them. Jaime Pais could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Nabar Helguera made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Tonyà's zone, Jaime Pais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nabar Helguera came out of the goal and Jaime Pais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sergi Salgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Petronio Solera went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garaile Blanco in the 43rd minute of play forced Valsequillo De Gran Canaria SD's goalkeeper Sergi Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Valsequillo De Gran Canaria SD getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Claudio Ortiz hit a great ball. After the first half Tonyà were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
