After 13 minutes, Ventura Losantos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mas Usall and the Montilla CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mas Usall getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ventura Losantos hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Tuste Iniesta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Mas Usall's Santi Belalcaraz got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes, Montilla CF's Loreto Leyva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pacho Noya came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montilla CF reached it. Aristeo Saboya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Pacho Noya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Delfino Checa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mas Usall's Pacho Noya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristeo Saboya in the 27th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Mas Usall got a freekick which was hit by Tuste Iniesta. Pacho Noya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristeo Saboya, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Ventura Losantos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ugaitz Lorenzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Felipillo Alarcon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristeo Saboya in the 41st minute of play forced Mas Usall's goalkeeper Pacho Noya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delfino Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pacho Noya having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Mas Usall's Furman Valerón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ugaitz Lorenzo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aristeo Saboya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pacho Noya having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ventura Losantos to make the kick off. If Aristeo Saboya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Montilla CF booed when Mas Usall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urtungo Canal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delfino Checa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pacho Noya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Celio Borrás hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Aristeo Saboya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pacho Noya having to interfere. If Aristeo Saboya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mas Usall's Pacho Noya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfino Checa in the 70th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Furman Valerón managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mas Usall's supporters rose to their feet, but Furman Valerón was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ugaitz Lorenzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 81 played minutes Montilla CF got a freekick which was hit by Felipillo Alarcon. Mas Usall's Ventura Losantos got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sixto Sevilla kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Ventura Losantos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacques Quintana succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 92nd playminute. Ugaitz Lorenzo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Furman Valerón went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
