Sixto Echavarri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bergara's goalkeeper Felipe Villa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Zosimo Ricoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximiliano Bodelon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zosimo Ricoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The attack was good, but when Troyes Pedraza in the 33rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some careless play in the Bergara defense, Troyes Pedraza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felipe Villa. The Bergara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felipe Villa should have stopped the shot. Perico Peña charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Perico Peña the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Puente Nuevo AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Perico Peña hit a great ball. A hard shot by Tito Perez from long distance, 41 minutes into the match, got Maximiliano Bodelon's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Zosimo Ricoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sixto Echavarri was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Zosimo Ricoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bergara's supporters rose to their feet, but Zosimo Ricoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximiliano Bodelon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Troy Casas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Puente Nuevo AFC booed when Bergara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position.
