If Luar Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Zubiaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Acarreta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gentza Palanques did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Simon Rallo 7 minutes into the match. Gentza Palanques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Tales got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Villa. Cipriano Zubiaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luar Toledo in the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Anna AFC's zone, Cristobal Rosas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Rallo came out of the goal and Cristobal Rosas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gentza Palanques came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Simon Rallo could save by the left post. In the 26th match minute, Santa Anna AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Tarin to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the game, Albert Tarin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santa Anna AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tales the free kick. After 27 played minutes Santa Anna AFC got a freekick which was hit by Albert Tarin. Cristobal Rosas might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Simon Rallo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristobal Rosas ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfredo Acarreta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Zubiaga having to interfere. Ceandro Ortega kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 38 minutes, Ernesto Moreno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tales and the Santa Anna AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Santa Anna AFC booed when Tales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Alfredo Acarreta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Anna AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Acarreta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Zubiaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Rosas in the 48th minute of play forced Santa Anna AFC's goalkeeper Simon Rallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Acarreta was the one to do the kick off. Cipriano Zubiaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Acarreta in the 52nd minute of play. Santa Anna AFC's Alfredo Acarreta got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Alfredo Acarreta came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Santa Anna AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Acarreta couldn't finish the play. Luar Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ceandro Ortega was shown his second yellow card after 64 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 65th minute, Ceandro Ortega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albert Tarin hit a great ball. After 89 minutes, Cristobal Rosas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tales and the Santa Anna AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th match minute, Tales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Rosas to maneuver through the defense.
