In the 6thth minute of the game Lorenz Etxeberria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Azutan CD's Llin Herrera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Azutan CD's goalkeeper Llin Herrera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ametz Mudarra. Gaztea Soto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 played minutes Benidoleig got a freekick which was hit by Beltran Arenas. If Dani Zapata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anartz Cabada's late challenge caught a Benidoleig's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anartz Cabada helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Azutan CD's Anartz Cabada got a free kick in the 20th minute. The supporters of Benidoleig booed when Azutan CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anartz Cabada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaztea Soto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Víctor Alcalde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Víctor Alcalde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaztea Soto in the 38th minute of the match. In the 41st match minute, Benidoleig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boni Zafrilla to maneuver through the defense. Gaztea Soto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaztea Soto got free with Víctor Alcalde in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xano Benedicto hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Dani Zapata kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ametz Mudarra in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Llin Herrera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute, Gaztea Soto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaztea Soto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víctor Alcalde having to interfere.
