When Rufino Lillo came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Montfulla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rufino Lillo couldn't finish the play. Garikoitz Parra was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Rufino Lillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rufino Lillo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Antxo Morado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montfulla FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antxo Morado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garikoitz Parra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdo Ponce De Leon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th match minute, Montfulla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tonio Manrique to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio De Pablo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Aranzubia's late challenge caught a Montfulla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enrique Aranzubia helped the player get up and apologised. Felipo Bergada charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipo Bergada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felipo Bergada kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Rufino Lillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes Santibañez El Alto got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Aranzubia. If Rufino Lillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Ponce De Leon in the 33rd minute of play forced Montfulla FC's goalkeeper Sandro Riells to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Felipo Bergada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdo Ponce De Leon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Riells having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rufino Lillo to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Montfulla FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gaston Astudillo hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Santibañez El Alto's goal looked a bit too open when Tonio Manrique came free, but Garikoitz Parra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laurgain Torrent charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laurgain Torrent the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute, Hondo Ballesteros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montfulla FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Antxo Morado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee gave Enrique Aranzubia a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Enrique Aranzubia hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Garikoitz Parra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufino Lillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Montfulla FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
