Orlo Herrero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leocadio Zubiaga in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Venecia's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Navarro came free, but Orlo Herrero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Venecia's zone, Romeo Navarro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlo Herrero came out of the goal and Romeo Navarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cruz Cabada hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Cruz Cabada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Pina De Ebro AD getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Vigil Losada hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Pina De Ebro AD's goalkeeper Xilo Alavedra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Froilan Rubio. The supporters of Venecia booed when Pina De Ebro AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anibal Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Froilan Rubio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venecia's supporters rose to their feet, but Froilan Rubio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xilo Alavedra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaume Manzano hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Leocadio Zubiaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Navarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Peyo Casero made the kick off in the second half. Orlo Herrero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Navarro in the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Jaume Manzano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pina De Ebro AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venecia the free kick. In the 56th minute, Jaume Manzano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xilo Alavedra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peyo Casero, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Leocadio Zubiaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Orlo Herrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pina De Ebro AD's Xilo Alavedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Rubio in the 62nd minute of play. Froilan Rubio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 72 minutes, Leocadio Zubiaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pina De Ebro AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leocadio Zubiaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Froilan Rubio struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Xilo Alavedra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venecia. Xilo Alavedra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peyo Casero in the 76th minute of the match. After 77 minutes, Dario Obis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venecia and the Pina De Ebro AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes Venecia got a freekick which was hit by Dario Obis. Peyo Casero struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Xilo Alavedra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venecia. Peyo Casero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xilo Alavedra having to interfere. Romeo Navarro might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Orlo Herrero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romeo Navarro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 97th play minute Leocadio Zubiaga came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Orlo Herrero. 0-2. The Pina De Ebro AD players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
