Cuencabuena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apolinar Pais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 7 played minutes O Padron SAD got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zapater. Zahar Torrente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enaut Cañadas in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute Apolinar Pais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zahar Torrente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zahar Torrente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolinar Pais, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolinar Pais in the 14th minute of play forced O Padron SAD's goalkeeper Zahar Torrente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fonso Ramirez during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mino Huarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Camarasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Enaut Cañadas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36thth minute of the game Fix Estrada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuencabuena's Mino Huarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 46 played minutes, O Padron SAD's José De Paula shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mino Huarte came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in O Padron SAD reached it. Roque Camarasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Mino Huarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
