Sant Gregori's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Cruz the free kick. In the 11th minute Ciriaco Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cefero Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciriaco Herrera in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cefero Torres saved Sant Gregori from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Sant Gregori's Lucas Bergada got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Cefero Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Herrera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Cloyo Marrero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciriaco Herrera in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cefero Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oscar Losada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Breixo Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Losada succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 35th playminute. After having played for 38 minutes, Oscar Losada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sant Gregori's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Losada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Ciriaco Herrera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

With an all-out effort, Santa Cruz's Cefero Torres threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ciriaco Herrera, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 57 minutes into the game, Cloyo Marrero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 58th match minute, Santa Cruz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cloyo Marrero to maneuver through the defense. Santa Cruz's Michel Cainzos got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 65 played minutes Sant Gregori got a freekick which was hit by Xuaco Montes. In the 66th minute Ciriaco Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cefero Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Herrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciriaco Herrera showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After having played for 86 minutes, Xuaco Montes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sant Gregori's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xuaco Montes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michel Cainzos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sant Gregori's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Quique Jauregui was slow to take the kick. During this time Santa Cruz's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Santa Cruz's Quique Jauregui to fire away a dangerous shot which Cefero Torres despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
