After a defensive mix-up in Abanqueiro AFC's zone, Timoteo Cabrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cambranes Silva came out of the goal and Timoteo Cabrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th match minute, Abanqueiro AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Román Garrido to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th match minute, Aljucer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Izaguirre to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th match minute, Abanqueiro AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Platon Calvo to maneuver through the defense. If Agapito Canosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agapito Canosa got free with Cambranes Silva in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28thth minute of the game Aketza Cordoba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aljucer's Melchor Gómez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Aketza Cordoba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bermudo Abajas in the 31st minute of play forced Aljucer's goalkeeper Melchor Gómez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Aketza Cordoba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abanqueiro AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aketza Cordoba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melchor Gómez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute Bermudo Abajas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melchor Gómez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute Aketza Cordoba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melchor Gómez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Aljucer's goal looked a bit too open when Aketza Cordoba came free, but Melchor Gómez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Aljucer defense, Aketza Cordoba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melchor Gómez. The Aljucer fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melchor Gómez should have stopped the shot. Cambranes Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Cabrera in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Abanqueiro AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bermudo Abajas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Melchor Gómez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aketza Cordoba in the 51st minute of play. Agapito Canosa struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Cambranes Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aljucer. Bermudo Abajas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cambranes Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timoteo Cabrera's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Ferrando Castaño's late challenge caught a Abanqueiro AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferrando Castaño helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes Aljucer got a freekick which was hit by Ferrando Castaño. After having played for 67 minutes, Aketza Cordoba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abanqueiro AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aketza Cordoba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aketza Cordoba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Gómez having to interfere. Abanqueiro AFC's Bermudo Abajas got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Abanqueiro AFC's Bermudo Abajas in the 89th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Melchor Gómez was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Aljucer through an amazing save. In the 90th minute, Ceandro Albizua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Platon Calvo from long distance, 91 minutes into the match, got Melchor Gómez's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bermudo Abajas in the 92nd minute of play forced Aljucer's goalkeeper Melchor Gómez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bermudo Abajas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Melchor Gómez came out and tried to block the shot, but Bermudo Abajas slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 94th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Abanqueiro AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
