Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sotero Medina made the kick off which started today's match. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 5th minute, but René Romero got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Mar Azul hanging dry this time. In the 7th match minute, Fuente San Luis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peru Garrido to maneuver through the defense. Iván Cayuela, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 9 played minutes Fuente San Luis got a freekick which was hit by Peru Garrido. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sotero Medina in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck René Romero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fuente San Luis's Chano Morcego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mambru Garrido in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fuente San Luis's Peru Garrido got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 23 minutes, Aristeo Alarcon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fuente San Luis and the Mar Azul players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Fuente San Luis got a freekick which was hit by Aristeo Alarcon. Chano Morcego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Garay in the 27th minute of the match. Sotero Medina struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. René Romero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fuente San Luis. After 58 played minutes Mar Azul got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Buenafuente. Sotero Medina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but René Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Mambru Garrido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Chano Morcego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chano Morcego made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Mambru Garrido sent off a good shot on target. Chano Morcego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Garay in the 65th minute of the match. Chano Morcego was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cecilio Garay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 66 minute of play. In the 76th minute Sotero Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Mateo Guerrero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mar Azul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fuente San Luis the free kick. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fuente San Luis's goalkeeper Chano Morcego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute Aquiles Pais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sotero Medina came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Fuente San Luis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sotero Medina couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotero Medina in the 91st minute of play forced Mar Azul's goalkeeper René Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Sotero Medina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fuente San Luis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A collision led to Fuente San Luis getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Tomi Montaña hit a great ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
