The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Inautzi Machado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Federico Zubizarreta's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. 9 minutes into the match, El Trocadero's Bruno Acha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilen Viejo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. El Trocadero's Inautzi Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Zubizarreta in the 14th minute of play. Teodor Pareja charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodor Pareja the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to El Trocadero getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Teodor Pareja hit a great ball. In the 21st minute Bruno Acha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilen Viejo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Trocadero's Bruno Acha got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rutenio Patiño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gilen Viejo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of El Trocadero booed when Llofriu AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yiyo Laredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. García Gómez kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Gilen Viejo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 38th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The supporters of Llofriu AFC booed when El Trocadero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cidro Torrent didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 minutes El Trocadero's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was García Gómez who took care of the corner kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. El Trocadero's Teodor Pareja got his second yellow card of the match in the 51st minute. The referee ordered Teodor Pareja off the ground. Lazcano Dean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Federico Zubizarreta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Llofriu AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Zubizarreta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inautzi Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Currito Dominguez during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes El Trocadero got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Acha. Lazcano Dean in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Inautzi Machado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lazcano Dean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rutenio Patiño took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilen Viejo. Gilen Viejo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Rutenio Patiño struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Gilen Viejo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Trocadero. Gilen Viejo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rutenio Patiño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lazcano Dean was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Llofriu AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 93 played minutes Federico Zubizarreta rounded El Trocadero's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The El Trocadero fans cheered their team off the field, for while Llofriu AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
