Sarracino Astudillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Vallejo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Almàssera were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Sarracino Astudillo made the kick off in the second half. Fernando Vallejo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sarracino Astudillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Albert Casals showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flor Cabezas, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Sarracino Astudillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Vallejo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aureo Martin in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Vallejo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 92 minutes into the match, Almàssera's goal looked a bit too open when Cordairo Gonzalvez came free, but Fernando Vallejo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aureo Martin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Vallejo having to interfere. The Almàssera supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Almàssera would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
