When Lico Ruiz fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aztegieta AFC's protests and gave Lico Ruiz a yellow card for diving instead. Lico Ruiz kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. When Dante Alarcon came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Torre Nueva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Alarcon couldn't finish the play. Carlos Infante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dante Alarcon in the 14th minute of the match. Salbatore Encina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Plauto Esperta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Aztegieta AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Medardo Urbieta to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute of the match Goiz Ballesteros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Infante skillfully saved the ball. In the 23rd minute Frasco Pascua suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Salbatore Encina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Plauto Esperta made a huge save. In the 30th minute Pascual Abajas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Plauto Esperta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benvide Salazar in the 36th minute of play forced Aztegieta AFC's goalkeeper Carlos Infante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anko Romero struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Carlos Infante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Torre Nueva. Benvide Salazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pascual Abajas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 44 played minutes Torre Nueva got a freekick which was hit by Goiz Ballesteros. After 46 minutes, Fiz Morales mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Torre Nueva and the Aztegieta AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Plauto Esperta acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 48th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Orlan Ponte. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Carlos Infante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Goiz Ballesteros, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Benvide Salazar came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Torre Nueva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benvide Salazar couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd match minute, Torre Nueva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasto Incera to maneuver through the defense. When Benvide Salazar came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Torre Nueva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benvide Salazar couldn't finish the play. Aztegieta AFC's Medardo Urbieta got his second yellow card of the match in the 83rd minute. The referee ordered Medardo Urbieta off the ground. After 84 played minutes Aztegieta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Medardo Urbieta. After 91 minutes of play, Torre Nueva's Anko Romero made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Infante was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Infante made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Benvide Salazar sent off a good shot on target. The Torre Nueva supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Torre Nueva would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
