The supporters of Alella booed when Rectoria De San Pablo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Sanz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lluciano Bermudez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pere Camacho's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Carlitos Sevilla made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Rectoria De San Pablo's zone, Nisio Abellan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lluciano Bermudez came out of the goal and Nisio Abellan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lluciano Bermudez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alella. When Lalla Morcego fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rectoria De San Pablo's protests and gave Lalla Morcego a yellow card for diving instead. Lalla Morcego hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Nisio Abellan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Pere Camacho fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lluciano Bermudez, passed just outside the right post. In the 93rd minute, Nisio Abellan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlitos Sevilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Soler having to interfere. Alella's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
