A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Esparragal's Fran Bellido got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, Natxo Macia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Generoso Vazquez, passed just outside the right post. In the 51st minute Venancio Campomanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Abellan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Leobardo Cabrera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Generoso Vazquez was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game.
