Jabalcuz FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Lalo Morales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elivareo Calderon in the 22nd minute of play. Jabalcuz FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elivareo Calderon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 33 minutes into the game, Moncho Turrilla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Mark Barrios was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Román Companys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. Jabalcuz FC's Lalo Morales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivareo Calderon in the 41st minute of play. Oliverios Obis hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Amancio Abasalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Mark Barrios made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

After a rather tough play, Galarreta's Eusebio Huarte got a free kick in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Jabalcuz FC's goalkeeper Lalo Morales had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Román Companys. 77 minutes into the game, Eusebio Huarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galarreta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jabalcuz FC the free kick. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Orti Blanco took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Lalo Morales to make any attempt to save it. In the 84th minute, Román Companys left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galarreta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. If Amancio Abasalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute.
