The tension between the Palomares FC and the Cuartillo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Cuartillo FC's Prudencio Abasalo tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. During the 38th minute of the match Modesto Casanova completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Modesto Casanova a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Modesto Casanova hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Lluis Ponce got his second yellow card in the match during the 40th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Palomares FC booed when Cuartillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lluis Ponce didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

It was beautiful to see Cuartillo FC's Prudencio Abasalo in action when he in the 65th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Olo Zárate struck a weak shot in the 69th minute.
