The corner ended in Amadeo Cifuentes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Villa Sol FC's Chano Tormes did a great save. Andrés Abascal charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrés Abascal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes Villa Sol FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrés Abascal. Pepito Cainzos might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilen Mas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pepito Cainzos ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of San Lorenzo UD booed when Villa Sol FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvino Quintanilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hector Alcantara fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villa Sol FC's protests and gave Hector Alcantara a yellow card for diving instead.
