The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Aozaraza's goalkeeper Edur Cabezas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rigoberto Crespo. Castellçiutat's Curro Blanco suffered a concussion after 7 minutes and had to leave the field. 7 minutes into the game, Aquilino Vicente was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aozaraza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castellçiutat the free kick. Aquilino Vicente kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guido Perez during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Castellçiutat getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Guido Perez hit a great ball. Román Climent scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sol Morales, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peri Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sol Morales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sol Morales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Román Climent in the 15th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Peri Campos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aozaraza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castellçiutat the free kick. Peri Campos hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Peri Campos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st minute, Román Climent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the game, Miliano Solano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edur Cabezas. Miliano Solano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Román Climent put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Sol Morales. 43 minutes into the match, Castellçiutat's goal looked a bit too open when Peri Campos came free, but Sol Morales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46thth minute of the game Román Climent who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castellçiutat's Sol Morales was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Peri Campos was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Peri Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aozaraza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peri Campos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Román Climent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Sol Morales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Peri Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rigoberto Crespo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rigoberto Crespo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Castellçiutat's goal looked a bit too open when Peri Campos came free, but Sol Morales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Aozaraza booed when Castellçiutat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miliano Solano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aozaraza's José Mendez couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Castellçiutat. In the 72nd minute, Peri Campos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sol Morales, passed just outside the right post. Leobardo Urquijo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Román Climent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sol Morales having to interfere. Román Climent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sol Morales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damian Landa during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Aozaraza's zone, Leobardo Urquijo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edur Cabezas came out of the goal and Leobardo Urquijo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peri Campos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Aozaraza supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aozaraza would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
