Goi Tormes hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Benigno Martinez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidor Alvarez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Urkiola getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Marin Silva hit a great ball. Isidor Alvarez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Tobias in the 20th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Domenech Casanova recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Qwinton Jareño. Domenech Casanova showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Urkiola's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Martinez came free, but Isidor Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Urkiola getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Elias Abancens hit a great ball. When Benito Tobias came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Retiro AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benito Tobias couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute, Domenech Casanova got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Retiro AFC booed when Urkiola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Idacio Morera didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Domenech Casanova got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domenech Casanova stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Urkiola's Domenech Casanova in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pere Cañadas kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Retiro AFC's zone, Marin Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Qwinton Jareño came out of the goal and Marin Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Domenech Casanova had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andoni Segarra during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Retiro AFC booed when Urkiola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andoni Segarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Elias Abancens fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urkiola's protests and gave Elias Abancens a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Urkiola got a freekick which was hit by Elias Abancens. 74 minutes into the match, Retiro AFC's Xilo Portillo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Domenech Casanova had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marin Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Retiro AFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Nando Iniesta hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Retiro AFC's zone, Marin Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Qwinton Jareño came out of the goal and Marin Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Urkiola had played much better football throughout.
