The supporters of Montserrat AFC booed when Manlleu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Incera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Máximo Dellasierra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justin Jubera in the 6th minute of the match. Montserrat AFC's Amancio Avila proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Montserrat AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute Fran Reina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Avila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fran Reina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amancio Avila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Faustino Cabanela's late challenge caught a Manlleu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faustino Cabanela helped the player get up and apologised. Máximo Dellasierra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Justin Jubera went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Amancio Avila stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nestor Escurza's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Nestor Escurza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Amancio Avila made a huge save. Fran Reina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Amancio Avila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Justin Jubera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montserrat AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Justin Jubera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Máximo Dellasierra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Fran Reina fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manlleu FC's protests and gave Fran Reina a yellow card for diving instead. Fran Reina kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Fran Reina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Avila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nestor Escurza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Fran Reina put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Amancio Avila. In the 74thth minute of the game Nestor Escurza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montserrat AFC's Amancio Avila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 75th match minute, Montserrat AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Cabanela to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fran Reina in the 76th minute of play forced Montserrat AFC's goalkeeper Amancio Avila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fran Reina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Amancio Avila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mundo Casass short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Máximo Dellasierra to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Montserrat AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Manlleu FC.
