Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaizka Campoamor got free with Domingo Canosa in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gaizka Campoamor came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the El Poblenou fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaizka Campoamor couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Aubert AD's Jeremias Zubizarreta got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 9 minutes, Sotero Castelao mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Poblenou and the Aubert AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ferran Alonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tito Gibert in the 15th minute of the match. Domingo Canosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Quintas, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Domingo Canosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaizka Campoamor in the 19th minute. When Jeremias Zubizarreta fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aubert AD's protests and gave Jeremias Zubizarreta a yellow card for diving instead. Jeremias Zubizarreta hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cruz Vila during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Aubert AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cruz Vila to maneuver through the defense. During the 33rd minute of the match Jeremias Zubizarreta completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jeremias Zubizarreta a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Domingo Canosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacio Quintas's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Candido Alcalde was the one to do the kick off. Gaizka Campoamor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Candido Alcalde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ferran Alonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 56 minutes, Tito Gibert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aubert AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tito Gibert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute, Candido Alcalde ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferran Alonso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Candido Alcalde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the game, Aubert AD's Candido Alcalde nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ferran Alonso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 73rd match minute, El Poblenou was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Irureta to maneuver through the defense.
