Doroteo Millán fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Landa having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Monreal's Fran Rosas got a free kick in the 14th minute. Monreal's Juan-Francisco Cabanela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Monreal from getting a goal against them. If Heli Montaña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monreal's Juan-Francisco Cabanela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruy Mangas in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Javier Alarcon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Monreal's Doroteo Millán got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, Calvino Coya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Cazuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monreal the free kick. After a rather tough play, La Cazuela's Calvino Coya got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in La Cazuela's zone, Doroteo Millán stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Landa came out of the goal and Doroteo Millán tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruy Mangas got free with Juan-Francisco Cabanela in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fran Rosas kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Doroteo Millán managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monreal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doroteo Millán was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doroteo Millán in the 45th minute of play forced La Cazuela's goalkeeper Franco Landa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Doroteo Millán stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Heli Montaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan-Francisco Cabanela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 minutes Monreal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anibal Suarez who took care of the corner kick. Lolo Fuster was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Heli Montaña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bermudo Noya's late challenge caught a La Cazuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bermudo Noya helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Monreal's Bermudo Noya got a free kick in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruy Mangas in the 68th minute of play forced Monreal's goalkeeper Juan-Francisco Cabanela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Javier Alarcon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan-Francisco Cabanela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Monreal's Doroteo Millán sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franco Landa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of La Cazuela booed when Monreal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benvide Cabezas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan-Francisco Cabanela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heli Montaña in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute of the match, Doroteo Millán tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Franco Landa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Juan-Francisco Cabanela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heli Montaña in the 78th minute of the match. Ruy Mangas scored 1-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan-Francisco Cabanela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 89 minutes into the game, Heli Montaña cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Juan-Francisco Cabanela was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan-Francisco Cabanela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Mangas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
