Anacleto Paz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prudencio Leyva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Juanito Martinez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Apolo Quijana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The El Vellon CD fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when El Vellon CD's Adelio Rossello looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Sant Andreu De Llavaneres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Vellon CD the free kick. After 30 played minutes Sant Andreu De Llavaneres got a freekick which was hit by Handi Gonzalvez. In the 31st minute, Juanito Martinez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Apolo Quijana was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Sant Andreu De Llavaneres's zone, Juanito Martinez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Quijana came out of the goal and Juanito Martinez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Adelio Rossello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prudencio Leyva made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Anacleto Paz sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juanito Martinez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sant Andreu De Llavaneres's Apolo Quijana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juanito Martinez in the 52nd minute of play. Clodoveo Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juanito Martinez in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Apolo Quijana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adelio Rossello charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelio Rossello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st match minute, El Vellon CD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelio Rossello to maneuver through the defense. Anacleto Paz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Leyva having to interfere. Prudencio Leyva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilano Rico in the 77th minute of the match. Prudencio Leyva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Paz in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute, one of El Vellon CD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El Vellon CD. Tipi Carrasco shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Atilano Rico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anacleto Paz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. El Vellon CD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
