Patricio Patiño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Benjamin Lagunas made a huge save. Oihan Prieto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xandro Perpiñán to make the kick off. Rafael Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Oihan Prieto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfocea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ganix Negro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Patricio Patiño managed to get in a good position for a shot. Remey UD's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Patiño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Lagunas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Mikel Marcilla fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Remey UD's protests and gave Mikel Marcilla a yellow card for diving instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Alfocea walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
