With his leg Sofronio Higuera managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when El Rio Grande's Ekialde Gonzalez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 5 minutes into the game, Elixio Dobale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sol Sans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 11 minutes into the match, Llaves SD's goal looked a bit too open when Egun Sevilla came free, but Sofronio Higuera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 minutes, Pepe Cao mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Llaves SD and the El Rio Grande players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Pepe Cao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ekialde Gonzalez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Frederick Fuentes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute Frederick Fuentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sol Sans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Llaves SD getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Pepe Cao hit a great ball. Cipriano Macho, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Frederick Fuentes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elixio Dobale in the 31st minute of play forced El Rio Grande's goalkeeper Sol Sans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Egun Sevilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Llaves SD's goalkeeper Sofronio Higuera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ekialde Gonzalez. After having played for 40 minutes, Frederick Fuentes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Llaves SD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederick Fuentes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Elixio Dobale came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Llaves SD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elixio Dobale couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd match minute, Llaves SD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amato Leyva to maneuver through the defense. Sofronio Higuera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ekialde Gonzalez in the 44th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Egun Sevilla made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Llaves SD's goal looked a bit too open when Egun Sevilla came free, but Sofronio Higuera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Llaves SD getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Allande Novo hit a great ball. If Elixio Dobale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When El Rio Grande's Ekialde Gonzalez in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Llaves SD's goalie prevented a goal. In the 60th minute, Egun Sevilla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sofronio Higuera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elixio Dobale got free with Sol Sans in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frederick Fuentes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sol Sans having to interfere. Ekialde Gonzalez might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sofronio Higuera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ekialde Gonzalez ran back to his position shaking his head. 80 minutes into the game, Anaya Blazquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Llaves SD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Rio Grande the free kick. After 80 played minutes Llaves SD got a freekick which was hit by Anaya Blazquez. Ekialde Gonzalez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sofronio Higuera having to interfere. When Pepe Cao came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Llaves SD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pepe Cao couldn't finish the play. Inocencio Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Llaves SD's Sofronio Higuera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egun Sevilla in the 98th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
