Timo Urbina charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timo Urbina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Playa De La Caleta booed when Getafe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timo Urbina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celio Zárate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Caminero, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Servando Manzano kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 23 minutes into the game, when Servando Manzano put in a rough tackle. Delmar Vicente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Goyanes in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Goyanes in the 31st minute of play forced Playa De La Caleta's goalkeeper Delmar Vicente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nastasio Salazar might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celio Zárate. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nastasio Salazar ran back to his position shaking his head. With splendid footwork Jesús Alfaro arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodolfo Goyanes to strike the kick off in the second half. Timo Urbina kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Felipillo Belalcaraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramond Bencoiechea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celio Zárate having to interfere. Delmar Vicente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesús Alfaro in the 60th minute of play. Isidoro Iniesta's late challenge caught a Getafe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidoro Iniesta helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Playa De La Caleta! Rodolfo Goyanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Celio Zárate managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Playa De La Caleta's Ramond Bencoiechea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alberto Sanz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute, Timo Urbina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Ramond Bencoiechea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Getafe's Jesús Alfaro got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rodolfo Goyanes came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Getafe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Goyanes couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramond Bencoiechea got free with Celio Zárate in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Getafe's Celio Zárate got control of the ball when Ramond Bencoiechea tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 98 in the game by Ramond Bencoiechea from a close distance when the talented Celio Zárate managed to make a qualified save. Getafe's players were relieved. Getafe were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Playa De La Caleta for a fine match.
