Jacques Jurado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chano Baltanas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute of the match Aragues Del Puerto CD got a corner. Cadrete's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nestor Fresnos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Xosepin Barrios thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Antoni Aizpurua, a very annoying self made goal in the 23rd minute which led to 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Cadrete's zone, Chayo Medina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antoni Aizpurua came out of the goal and Chayo Medina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Cadrete getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Xaiver Peña hit a great ball. In the 34th minute of the match Nestor Fresnos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antoni Aizpurua showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Chano Baltanas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aragues Del Puerto CD's supporters rose to their feet, but Chano Baltanas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antoni Aizpurua breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bernard Lama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 45 minutes, Chano Baltanas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aragues Del Puerto CD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chano Baltanas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Bernard Lama managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aragues Del Puerto CD's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernard Lama was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antoni Aizpurua breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Aragues Del Puerto CD were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 55th minute of the match Amor Quiroga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacques Jurado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cadrete's zone, Chano Baltanas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antoni Aizpurua came out of the goal and Chano Baltanas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute, Mergildo Olmedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Cadrete's Antoni Aizpurua got control of the ball when Chano Baltanas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Aragues Del Puerto CD's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Tormes came free, but Jacques Jurado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacques Jurado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Tormes in the 71st minute of play. Aragues Del Puerto CD's Jacques Jurado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Campos in the 77th minute of play. Aragues Del Puerto CD's Chano Baltanas got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Truylos Gimenez fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aragues Del Puerto CD's protests and gave Truylos Gimenez a yellow card for diving instead. Truylos Gimenez hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Cadrete were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Aragues Del Puerto CD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amor Quiroga took the corner. Cadrete's Amor Quiroga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jacques Jurado in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Antoni Aizpurua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chayo Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
