Ekhi Incera charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ekhi Incera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes Los Alagones got a freekick which was hit by Ekhi Incera. In the 22nd minute, Guaberto Jaen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute, Beltran Balcells hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Amposta AFC's Alfonso Vuelta tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute Selmo Lozano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xose De Pedro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guaberto Jaen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Amposta AFC's Selmo Lozano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xose De Pedro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Alagones's goalkeeper Xose De Pedro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ekhi Incera in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Jaen saved Amposta AFC from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ekhi Incera was the one to do the kick off. When Beltran Balcells fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Alagones's protests and gave Beltran Balcells a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Selmo Lozano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xose De Pedro was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 57 minutes into the game, Dantel Morales was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Amposta AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Alagones the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ekhi Incera couldn't finish the play.
